Part Time Sales Associate
20-35 hours/week
$10-12/hour

Sport Fair is the premier competition swim store in Northern Virginia. We are seeking hourly sales associates with a background in competitive swimming and/or diving to join our team. Applicants must pass our background check and have a clean driving record.

Successful candidates will be friendly, dedicated, excited to work with customers, open to learning, and have the ability to prioritize complex sets of tasks. Prior retail or other customer service experience is encouraged but not required.

Sample responsibilities may include:

- Assist customers while they shop.
- Accurately answer questions for customers about competitive swimming and the equipment that swimmers use.
- Handle merchandise both customer-facing as well as in storage.
- Receive shipments from vendors.
- Clean the premises including sales and storage areas.
- Answer phones, interact with customers, give directions, take orders.
- Pick up and/or deliver orders via car.

Job requirements:

- Knowledge of competitive swimming and/or diving
- High School Diploma or higher (at least some college preferred)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work during normal daytime business hours and/or on Saturdays
- Ability to lift 30 lbs without difficulty
- Endurance to stand for long periods of time
- Strong oral communication skills
- Ability to follow directions

Preference will be given to candidates who can work 7 out of 8 Saturdays. Candidates without experience with competitive swimming or diving will not be considered.
